Bio
Keith started his musical adventures being inspired by the love of music shown to him by his parents at a young age. At the age of nine he took up the piano and learned the written language of music.
In junior high school he took up the tenor saxophone and was inspired by the works of George Gershwin. The guitar came into his life when he was seventeen.
Having studied guitar at the Wisconsin Conservatory of music, he received two scholarships and also attended the University of Wisconsin Parkside receiving a BF in education.
Throughout his studies he has had the pleasure be to be taught by Jack Grassel, Bill Stone, Don Linke, Dick Eliot, Mark Davis, Berkeley Fudge.
Some of the musicians he has share the stage include: Rick Aaron, Dean Lea, Dan Schneck, Dick Eliot, Bill Sargent, Smith & Bender, Darele Bisquerra and Robin Pluer.
With guitarist Gare Hofstad, he has created a guitar duo called String Theory, featuring a repertoire of traditional jazz, blues, classic rock and Latin. With the addition of vocalist Julie Thompson the duo morphed into a trio called Julie Thompson and String Theory.
He has performed as soloist and ensemble musician at Water 2 Wine, Three Cellars, Wine 2 Glass, Sprizzos, the Chocolaterian, Jean's Jazz Festival, Café Sopra Mare, The Yardarm, Blu, Top of the Phister, The Estate, Charoline's, Summerfest Marathon for the Arts, Gallery Night, Hoyt Park Landing and many more venues.
